I was visiting Marshalls a couple of months ago and discovered some Vitamin C and collagen serums, I decided to pick them up. The Marshalls beauty isle is always impressive, you never know what you might find. I picked up two bottles one that had Vitamin C and Collagen and one with just Vitamin C as the main ingredient. I’ve heard amazing things about Vitamin C for skin care and I have added them to my skin care routine. Is great to mix and match products, I believe it avoids having your skin get too used to ingredients.
The serum has amazing antioxidants and anti-aging benefits. It helps reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. It does so many incredible things from, reducing and repairing sun damage to boosting collagen production. It helps with everything from lack of firmness and dullness in the skin, to hyper-pigmentation, redness, fine lines and more.
Getting a Vitamin C serum is beneficial to your skin, it’s best to get a vitamin C serums that has 5-20% concentration so it can be much stronger. If you have sensitive skin is best to stick to a lower concentration and only use it once in a while, because you don’t want to cause irritation to your skin.
This is not a product to use everyday, once a week is great if you have less mature skin. You should also work your way up in concentration if your skin is on the sensitive side. Apply a few drops after cleansing the skin and follow with a moisturizer.
If your skin is on the mature side you can work your way up (starting with 2-3 days per week to more) in terms of days used per week. You would really benefit from a higher concentration if you have mature skin and a lot of sun damage and wrinkles.
Is important to use SPF every single day as you normally would, because this product is quite strong.
How to use Vitamin C serums:
1. Wash your face as you normally would with a gentle cleanser. I like to use the CeraVe Gentle Hydrating cleanser, because it contains ceramides and hyaluronic acid. CeraVe | AMAZON: SHOP
2. Pat dry your face
3. Gently apply a few drops of the serum to your face and neck in gentle circular motion
4. Apply your normal moisturizer
5. If going outside use a moisturizer with SPF
6. You can use an SPF along with your moisturizer. My favorite is the CeraVe Sunscreen Face Lotion SPF 50. CeraVe | AMAZON: SHOP

Celebrities Who Love Vitamin C:
Many celebrities use Vitamin C on their skin, from Victoria’s Secret Model Alessandra Ambrosio to actress Olivia Wild.
My Results & Regimen:
I only use the serum in small amounts/drops which I apply all over my clean face and I follow with a moisturizer. My complexion has become pretty even overall and I don’t really need much foundation or even any at all. It has helped make my complexion firmer, even toned and I don’t see any dark spots. These results are from using it 1-2 per week max and at a much lower concentration 3-4% since my skin is in good condition and I don’t need a higher concentration.
