I recently came across an old picture of me from years ago and was obsessed with the way my curls looked. To Moisturize curly hair and get them back to looking full and bouncy is my new goal. I got to doing some research on how I can bring my hair back to that level of hydration so I can achieve my ultimate curls in the future. I came across this youtuber with gorgeous blonde curly hair, which she dyes herself and uses super affordable products to moisturize her curly hair.
Moisturize Curly Hair With Steam
In one of her videos she walks us through the process of deep conditioning her hair to achieve supreme moisture. She then introduces us to this tool in which she sits under to get her hair to penetrate all the moisture from her deep conditioner. I was super excited to see this tool as I haven’t come across this in the past.
She proceeds to sit under a hair steamer with the deep conditioner. Moisturize curly hair with a steamer is easy, the steamer helps hydrate her locks even deeper, while the deep conditioner penetrates her cuticles, I was shocked.
Steaming hair or adding indirect heat encourages blood flow circulation and is said to promote hair growth. The steam when used with a deep conditioner or treatment, lifts the hair cuticle and makes it easier for the treatments to penetrate deeply into the hair shaft helping to heal damaged hair. Steaming hair enhances the look of your curls while strengthening the hair and increasing moisture retention. I will definitely be looking into investing in a similar steamer product to moisturize my hair.
