Sun spots, and a sun mustache can develop on the skin overtime due to sun exposure. This exposure can cause damage and can trigger the skin to produce discoloration. These spots make your skin look uneven and older.
These spots can be avoided with sun protection via SPF use, or avoiding direct sun all together. The upper lip area is a prime target of sun damage, hence the term sun mustache, usually because as we eat or drink our SPF slowly gets removed.
How To Avoid Dark Spots:
Use SPF every single day, even on cloudy days. Rain or shine.
Use SPF 30+.
Reapply SPF when needed.
The more sun exposure the worst the discoloration can appear.
Layer SPF products, like sunscreen and foundation with SPF.
