Contouring is the best trick to shape your face, give it dimension and make it appear slimmer and defined. I always contour using a powder. One I use non stop is the Anastasia Beverly Hills Contour Palette, it blends well and includes a nice range of colors. I always thought contouring with a liquid cream would be messy and difficult to blend, but after doing it a couple of times and with a little product at a time, I discovered it is the best way to save on product and make your makeup last all day.
Less Product Use:
I recently found this lovely’s youtuber’s get ready with me and noticed how she uses a cream liquid to contour her cheeks, forehead and nose and only uses foundation on the rest of her face. This process helps you save on foundation, since you’re not applying it all over your face just on the spots which are not contoured and stay light.
TIP: Start with a primer. Using dots place them where you will be contouring (nose, cheekbones, jaw and forehead.) Blend well. Apply foundation on the rest of your face, making sure not to cover the contour areas. Use the L.A. Girl Pro Conceal HD Concealer, Almond.
Saves Time:
Using this form of application has cut my makeup in half. I no longer cover my entire face with foundation then use powder. I only place the foundation on the places with no contour, then I bake my face using a translucent powder and I go over the contour areas with a bronzer or Anastasia brown powder to set the contour.
TIP: While you bake your face, use a contour powder to go over the liquid contour and finish setting the contour. Use the Laura Mercier Loose Setting Powder, Translucent Powder to bake and Anastasia Beverly Hills – Contour Kit to set contour.
