I love wearing makeup daily, but sometimes I want something lighter, without completely going bare. A way to find a middle ground, is to use lightweight products, like a BB Cream. Something lightweight, that protects with (SPF), and also covers some imperfections.
I recently decided I wanted to give drugstore BB Creams a second chance. I’ve purchased them before, but never had luck, usually because they would appear too ashy on the skin.
After going back and forth, reading lots of reviews, and endless color swatches. I found two drugstore products that work well. These products, cut back on time, and protect your skin from the sun.
MAYBELLINE DREAM URBAN COVER $8.43
The dream Urban Cover foundation, is a dupe for the It Cosmetics CC+ Cream, because is just as lightweight, with tons of SPF. This makeup contains SPF 50 sunscreen, to help protect the skin from harmful UV rays.
It also contains antioxidants to protect against pollution. This foundation feels lightweight, like a BB Cream but with a buildable coverage like a foundation. Add a setting powder, and this will be your daily go-to product.
My favorite part of this foundation is the SPF 50, which helps simplify the daily routine. Shop: $8.43
I wore the MAYBELLINE DREAM URBAN COVER for over 8 hours in the color 215 Almond. It stayed on all day.
MAYBELLINE DREAM BB FRESH $6.25
BB Creams are difficult to find in darker tones, usually they appear ashy. The Dream BB Fresh in the 130 Medium works well on my skin. It has SPF 30, and is lightweight. Perfect for a light coverage on days where there is no time for a full face of makeup.
The cream works best when set with a powder. The coverage is light and made to appear like second skin. For a BB Cream, it does a great job at covering small imperfections. Perfect for vacation or summer days where you want your skin to breath. Shop: $6.25
