I’ve been really focusing on skin care lately, not only for the anti-aging benefits but also to create a perfect canvas for makeup application. When your skin is healthy your makeup looks flawless. I’ve shared my current Morning Skincare Routine HERE and my Nighttime Skincare Routine HERE. I swap products most of the time to keep my skin guessing, but there are some products I always revisit. As much as we would all love to have a 7 step skincare routine with all high end products like La Mer or Chanel (which I hear Karrueche is obsessed with the CHANEL Hydra Beauty Serum) is unrealistic to have all these products be high end. I like finding drugstore products I can use and incorporate into my routine, one of them is an affordable but powerful moisturizer.
A good moisturizer is crucial for hydrating skin and a good way to give it the nutrients it needs to repair itself overnight. It will keep your skin well-hydrated, making it appear more plump and radiant. We also know that a daytime routine must always include SPF and in your late 20’s or 30’s you seriously need to be making a conscious effort of taking care of your skin. I’ve discovered a well priced moisturizer, with great ingredients which I have been using for over a year now, and it’s been keeping my skin looking flawless.
Olay Regenerist Micro-Sculpting Cream
The Olay Regenerist Micro-Sculpting Cream is available with SPF 30 for daytime and with no SPF for nighttime. This cream is extremely thick and a little amount goes a long way which is my favorite part about the product. With main ingredients like Niacinamide (which is also known as vitamin B3 and nicotinic acid) which is a powerful anti-aging ingredient that reduces appearance of enlarged pores, fine lines, dullness, uneven skin tone and more.
Other great ingredients like Amino Peptide Complex II and Hyaluronic Acid. When Peptides are applied to the skin they can help the skin produce more collagen. Hyaluronic Acid is one of the best ingredients for skin, it keeps skin plump, keeps collagen synthesis up, keeps skin hydrated by helping it retain moisture which overall leads to youthful looking skin.
While we are young the best thing we can do for our skin is protect it and prevent it from getting too damaged. Protected against sun damage, cleanse and hydrate it with a good moisturizer. Drink lots of water, exfoliate and stay out of the sun.
In your 20’s your skin still has a lot more elasticity and many of its rebuilding agents, when we start to age we start to lose these things and it is important to give the skin those missing ingredients to keep it looking great.
